Award-winning “The Movie of My Life” opens the 9th Annual HBRFest

The Hollywood Brazilian Film Festival has announced the complete programming lineup for its 9th edition. Award winning THE MOVIE OF MY LIFE (O FILME DA MINHA VIDA), written, directed and starring acclaimed Brazilian actor and filmmaker Selton Mello will open the festival on November 9. Presenting the best in Brazilian Independent Cinema, the 9th Hollywood Brazilian Film Festival will run from November 9th to November 12th.

Opening night will be held at Arclight Hollywood, 6360 Sunset Blvd, with Red Carpet at 6pm and screening at 7pm, followed by Q&A with actor and filmmaker Selton Mello. RSVP ONLY.

Starring Vincent Cassell, Selton Mello, Jonny Massaro and Bruna Linzmeyer THE MOVIE OF MY LIFE (O FILME DA MINHA VIDA) follows young Tony (Massaro) in the 1960s as he returns to his hometown in the South of Brazil to find out that his French father (Cassell) has returned to his home country, leaving him to deal with opening his own path in life. THE MOVIE OF MY LIFE (O FILME DA MINHA VIDA is based on the novel “A Distant Father” by Antonio Skármeta, and was adapted to the screen by Selton Mello and Marcelo Vindicatto.
