British DJ and producer Gilles Peterson, a long-time Brazilian music enthusiast, is back in the country with a new project, Brasil Bam Bam Bam. The documentary, directed by Charlie Inman and Ben Holman, was shot in 2014 while Peterson, alongside producers Floating Points and Earl Zinger, recorded the album Sonzeira, which came out back in May.
The film explores Rio de Janeiro’s rich music scene and features big names like Elza Soares, Ed Motta, Marcos Valle, Seu Jorge and Kassin. It’s being made available by Peterson’s Brownswood label via Vimeo to coincide with the 2016 Rio Olympics.
